Mango Peach Iced Tea (Print Version)

A fruity blend of mango and peach combined with iced tea and mint for a vibrant chilled drink.

# What You’ll Need:

→ Tea Base

01 - 4 cups water
02 - 4 black tea bags

→ Fruit Purée

03 - 1 large ripe mango, peeled and diced
04 - 2 ripe peaches, pitted and diced
05 - 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
06 - 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

→ To Serve

07 - 2 cups cold water
08 - 1 cup ice cubes, plus more for serving
09 - 1 small bunch fresh mint leaves
10 - Mango and peach slices for garnish

# How-To Steps:

01 - Bring 4 cups of water to a boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat, add tea bags, and steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and allow tea to cool to room temperature.
02 - In a blender, combine diced mango, diced peaches, honey or agave syrup, and lemon juice. Blend until completely smooth.
03 - Pass the fruit purée through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove any remaining fibers if desired.
04 - Add the cooled tea to the pitcher containing the fruit purée and stir well to combine.
05 - Add 2 cups cold water and 1 cup ice cubes to the pitcher. Stir thoroughly to chill and dilute to desired taste.
06 - Add half of the fresh mint leaves to the pitcher and gently muddle to release aromatics and flavor.
07 - Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes until thoroughly chilled and flavors have melded.
08 - Pour into glasses filled with additional ice cubes. Garnish with mango and peach slices and fresh mint leaves.

# Expert Hints:

01 -
  • It's genuinely refreshing without tasting like you're drinking flavored water or refined sugar.
  • You can make it in about twenty minutes and impress people with something that looks far more complicated than it actually is.
  • The mint trick at the end creates this subtle herbal note that somehow makes everything taste more alive.
02 -
  • If you use honey and then chill the drink, the honey can crystallize slightly at the bottom—warm it briefly in the microwave and stir it in before serving, or use agave for a smoother experience every time.
  • The mint will darken and lose its brightness if it sits in the cold liquid for more than a few hours, so add fresh mint just before serving if you're making this ahead of time.
03 -
  • Freeze some of the fruit purée in ice cube trays; drop one or two into your glass instead of regular ice to keep the drink flavorful as the ice melts rather than watching it get diluted.
  • If you're making this for a crowd, prepare everything in advance but add the mint and fresh ice just before serving—it keeps the drink looking vibrant and tasting sharp.
